Anchor Pro

The only difference is how many new cards you can start per day. One-time purchase; everything else is in the free version.

Free and Pro differ in one thing only: new cards per day.

FreeAnchor Pro
New cards per day20Unlimited (whatever you set)
Everything elseIncludedIncluded (unchanged)

The due queue, reference expansion, Browse, GitHub sync, writing back the review log, FSRS settings and the demo are all in the free version.

  • It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription
  • Available on iOS and Android. The Mac build is distributed outside the store, holds no purchase state, and simply lets you set the number

Why that axis

Gating the number of cards, reference expansion or sync would amount to holding your own Markdown hostage, which collides head-on with the whole design: your data is yours, and there is no lock-in.

New cards per day was the only axis that could carry Pro without taking anything away from free users — 20 was the default all along.

If you set more than 20 before Pro existed

A device that had been set above 20 before the purchase existed would have had a working setting taken away the day it shipped. Those devices are detected once during the migration and permanently exempted. From then on, even setting it back below 20 never re-imposes the free cap on that device.
