Wave
It never writes zero, and your best never disappears
People with a habit they want to stop, who have felt sent back to square one every time they slipped.
When it's useful
An urge arrives
Press the button and the timer starts. The few minutes of waiting are the coping, and they become the record at the same time.
The day a streak breaks
It never shows "0 days" — just "from today". Your personal best stays, and you can correct the start date afterwards.
You want to know how long to wait
Not a borrowed number: the median measured from your own records.
What it does
Pick one on the left to switch to that screen.

Common friction, and how it's solved
"One slip resets the counter to zero, and that is where the motivation goes"
A broken streak just reads "from today". Your best never drops — the only thing lost is the current count.
""Urges pass in 15 to 20 minutes" — but does that apply to you?"
That figure cannot be traced to a primary study. So the app measures the median from your own records instead.
"A habit app on the home screen tells everyone around you what it is for"
Neither the name nor the icon reveals the subject. The widget and the Apple Watch face show only an unlabeled number.
What every app I've built shares
No silent network access
Nothing is sent to a developer's server unless you turn it on yourself. No account, no login, no tracking.
Your records stay yours
Everything stays on your device, or in the storage you choose.
